Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust Session 23rd Sept @ 1:30-3:30pm

Working with the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust and their NHS Futures Team, Learn Live has been given special access to the work of the Allied Health Professionals, the third largest workforce in the health service.

It’s a great chance for students to see behind the scenes, to hear what it’s really like working in the NHS and to explore the pathways to rewarding and fulfilling careers working as Allied Health Professionals.

Allied Health Professionals are: podiatrists, dietitians, occupational therapists, operating department practitioners, orthoptists, osteopaths, prosthetists and orthotists, paramedics, art therapists, drama therapists, music therapists, physiotherapists, diagnostic radiographers, therapeutic radiographers, speech and language therapists. This programme will give students real-life encounters with Allied Health Professionals in these vital careers, providing fresh perspectives on the world of work.

6th March 2020

Years 10 and 11 enjoyed a production of A Christmas Carol, produced and performed by the students of Newcastle College. This will support with their study and revision of the novel for the GCSE English Literature examination coming up in the summer. Following the show, the cast and director delivered a drama and theatre workshop with our students. Our students enjoyed the performance and participated fully with the workshop afterwards. It gave them an insight into the day-to-day life and career of an actor.
