All pupils are expected to continue with their academic studies whilst the school is closed. Work is available via the school website and can be accessed by clicking on the ‘Student Links’ tab, which will take you to the individual learning tabs for each year group. Work includes tasks set by individual subjects, and Votes for Schools activities in order for students to continue accessing part of our Personal Development curriculum. If students are accessing the website through a mobile device, they may need to change the view to ‘Desktop View’, which can be done by clicking through options/settings.
When accessing work, students can either ‘right click’ the links to individual tasks and click on ‘Save Target As’ in order to save these to their own personal area, or open the tasks and click on the disk icon at the bottom of the page in order to do this. Students may also be required to open a separate Word or PowerPoint document in order to complete their work.
Students will be required to access their school emails. This is so that they can receive instructions and support from their class teachers, and so that they can send completed tasks to the relevant staff. Please see below for a guide to help your child in accessing their emails from home:
• Click on the ‘Student Links’ tab on the school website homepage
• Click on ‘Email’
• Students will then be prompted to log in with their school username and password – all students have been reminded of these details and have had an opportunity to refresh themselves with how to access their emails
If your child is currently self-isolating and you require paper copies of work, please contact the school office on 01782 948250.
