The Kidsgrove Secondary School will close on Monday 23rd March as advised by the Government.
We will re-open as soon as possible, as advised and we will keep Parents/Carers updated via our Website and text messages.
All pupils are expected to continue with their academic work at home during the school closure. This is available via the school website and pupils have been instructed prior to closure, how to access this. Parents can also access the work via the folder on the school website. Packs have also been distributed in the case of any system failures at home or if pupils have confirmed that they do not have computer access. Year 11 pupils are in receipt of revision material and guidance, in addition they can access a specific area using GCSE Pod, made available in the event of a school closure.
Class teachers will remain in contact with pupils via e-mail, any concerns in regards to accessing work should be communicated. All work should be e-mailed to teachers when completed.
I have instructed pupils to apply the same level of engagement to their work as they do in school and I expect all pupils to keep the same high standards of behaviour during the closure, as they do in school.
Whilst the school is closed, if you have any safeguarding issues, please contact First Response (Staffordshire Safeguarding Board) on 0800 1313126. For any other queries please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org and a member of the office team will respond as soon as possible.
Given media attention at the moment, it is important that we respect patient confidentiality of any member of staff or pupil and we would like to thank you in your cooperation in this matter.
If you or a member of your family are feeling unwell and you are worried, the advice is to contact NHS 111 for advice.
We will re-open as soon as possible, as advised and we will keep parents updated via our website and text messages.
