Free School Bus
The Kidsgrove Secondary School has gone one step further in providing quality education to the local community.
To further support student safety, the school which is part of the Shaw Education Trust, will be introducing a new free bus service for students in further reaching areas.
Head of School, Karen Mitchell explained: “The safety and well-being of our students is of the utmost importance and we are committed to ensuring that all young people in the area have equal opportunity to access our fantastic school.”
The new bus service, which will be fully-funded by the Trust, will run for all students in the Mow Cop, Newchapel, Dales Green and Harriseahead areas.
This is not the only initiative our school are introducing to better support the community, we have recently announced that we will be funding the uniform for the next cohort of Year 7s.
Jo Morgan, CEO of Shaw Education Trust, commented: “We understand the financial strains that many parents face and we continuously strive to reduce these pressures.
“Our free uniform and bus service are just one example of how we as a Trust are investing in the community to aid all local young people in accessing high-quality education.”
