Return to School
I am aware that this is a very anxious time for parents, however I am happy to report that I am extremely proud of the way that our pupils have settled into the new way of working. They have had a fantastic start to the new academic year.
As you are aware, there are measures and restrictions in place to keep everyone safe. I have revised the wearing of face masks and have asked pupils to not only wear them in the dining area, but also in the corridors.
As expected, pupils have accepted and were happy to do this, as of this afternoon.
Moving forward, please remind your son/daughter of the following:
• To wear face masks in the dining area and when moving between classes, albeit movement around school is very limited.
• To remember to bring a snack for breaktime or to ask for one if they need to.
• To enter and exit via their allocated entrance:
o Year 11 – Galleys Bank
o Year 10 – Galleys Bank
o Year 9 – Lower main entrance, via the path at the side exit gate, Gloucester Road
o Year 8 – Top main entrance, Gloucester Road
o Year 7 – Top main entrance, Gloucester Road
• Pupils must go directly to the room stated on their timetable.
I can only reiterate that, as parents and educators, we should be extremely proud of our young people. A huge thank you to them all.
