Year 7: Since January, Year 7 have revised over: items in their bag, school subjects and why words are masculine & feminine and how to recognise them and learnt how to make words plural.

New topics this term have included: opinions and reasons why, pets, colours and how to describe the colour of a pet /other item. Work has been presented in the form of power points mainly, with voiceover activities in order to practise speaking and listening skills.

Students will complete an assessment on these new topics, mixed in with topics they covered in their first term. This will be in the form of a reading comprehension task and a short translation from English to Spanish.

Students have knowledge organisers stuck in their planners and the new knowledge organiser is in Teams, under "files".

Year 8: Since January, Year 8 have revised over a range of free time activities and sports.

New topics this term have included: how to describe which activities they do and how often, they have leant how to give opinions and reasons about free time hobbies and have learnt how to form and use the future tense. Work has been presented in the form of power points mainly, with voiceover activities in order to practise speaking and listening skills.

Students will complete an assessment on these new topics, mixed in with topics they covered in their first term. This will be in the form of a reading comprehension task and a short translation from English to Spanish.

Year 9: since January Year 9 have revised over the topic of clothes and colour agreements.

New topics have included: how to describe their uniform and give extended opinions and reasons about uniform, holiday destinations in the past tense, opinions in the past tense, how to say how they travelled on holiday and a range of activities they did on holiday. Work has been presented in the form of power points mainly, with voiceover activities in order to practise speaking and listening skills.

Students will complete an assessment which covers these new topics relating to holidays, it will take the form of a translation from Spanish into English, testing their knowledge of the key vocabulary and 3 different tenses.

GCSE: Since January Year 11 students have begun the new topic of "School", this has mainly been in the format students are familiar with and has followed the course text used in class. Students have covered a range of skills; reading, writing, listening, translation, vocab recall and conversation practice.
