Digital Strategy 

The Digital Strategy is fundamental to the schools vision of achieving digital skills for life. The 1:1 iPad solution for all students and staff brings digital technology to every classroom through cutting edge assessment for learning techniques and interactive lesson resources.

The KSS staff have undertaken extensive professional development and training to change the way in which the teaching and learning model is implemented. The students engage in a lesson question and with limitless possibilities and opportunities at their fingertips, the iPad has become a tool for deeper understanding and exploration into subject enquiry. This is supported by teachers scaffolding learning by sharing resources to classes within seconds through 'air drop' or digital portfolios.  

The student body is at the forefront of the innovations with students working with key school staff to help lead the development of digital skills for life. Dedicated form time each week helps to shape and share the weekly skills, so that students can master a plethora of digital competencies.

The digital strategy does not end once students leave the classroom. The school has a state of the art ' Immersive Room' and 'Virtual Reality' suite that students can access key aspects of the curriculum. This provides the opportunity for students to experience the northern lights or to explore the Solar System.
